Okay, so you have spotted a mouse in your abode. What should you do? First, a few facts: 1) If you have seen one mouse, you have definitely have not seen them all. Mice are communal and where there is one there is many. 2) Mice like to live in warm areas and will build their nests in areas that accommodate them. 3) Mice will forage for food and will travel well away from their nests to find it 4) Mice will live among humans but are terrified of them so they will make themselves very scarce. 5) Mice have the unusual ability to flatten themselves out; they can travel under doors and areas that seem impossible for a critter of their size to be able to navigate through. They are quick and sometimes have been mistaken for insects!
So how do you get rid of them? If you have spotted them early enough, and you do not have an infestation, one of the best methods is to get a cat; preferably one that is not lazy. However, in lieu of a cat, one of the best methods are simple over-the-counter traps. Although, mice will eat just about anything, including their own feces, one of the best bait foods you can use for these traps is peanut butter - go figure.
It is important to note that it is inadvisable to coexist with these critters until they decide to move. Although, they look cute, they are known to carry many diseases, some of which can be fatal to humans. If the problem has escalated to an infestation, don't mess around, call a pest control company.See Mice Services
